1. What this Vanti is

An educational software tool that builds a learning dossier, calibrates a level, corrects exercises and advances a curriculum.

2. What this Vanti is not

  • It is not a certified teacher. No Vanti holds a teaching licence, is a member of a professional order, or is employed by a recognized institution.
  • No official recognition. This Vanti grants no diploma, attestation, unit, credit, equivalence or certification recognized by an educational institution, by a ministry of education or higher education, or by any language examination or certification body.
  • It is not a certified translation service. Translations produced are neither certified nor sworn. A translation intended for an official purpose — immigration, court, civil status, diploma, contract, medical record — must be produced by a certified translator (in Quebec, a member of OTTIAQ). Never use an output of this Vanti for that purpose.
  • It is not immigration, study abroad, employment or travel advice. The Vanti may describe procedures in general terms; it does not replace a regulated immigration consultant, an educational institution or a consular authority.

3. Educational limits

Content is generated by a language model. It may contain:

  • errors in grammar, pronunciation, writing, vocabulary, register or politeness level;
  • inaccurate, fabricated or artificial examples;
  • incorrect corrections — the Vanti may "correct" a valid sentence or validate a faulty one;
  • an imprecise level assessment, including relative to the levels or exams you are preparing for;
  • simplified, outdated or inaccurate cultural or historical statements.

Verify against a reliable source — a reference dictionary, a textbook, a human teacher — anything you intend to use in an exam, schoolwork, professional communication or official context.

4. Your legal obligations

4.1 Copyright

You may not place into this Vanti, or ask it to reproduce, copyright-protected material you do not hold rights to: textbooks, workbooks, exam banks, answer keys, commercial methods, subtitles, manga, novels or full articles.

You remain responsible for compliance with the Copyright Act (RSC 1985, c. C-42) for any content you supply or reuse. Fair dealing for private study has limits: a short excerpt yes, an entire work no.

4.2 Academic integrity

You may not use this Vanti to commit an academic integrity violation: having work produced that you present as your own, cheating on an exam, circumventing an institutional AI policy, or helping another person do so.

Your institution's policies apply and prevail. Any academic or disciplinary sanction arising from such use is entirely yours.

4.3 Personal use

Like the rest of the Service, this Vanti is reserved for personal use. It may not be used to teach, tutor, assess or grade another person, whether compensated or not, nor in the course of employment, a course, a language school or a tutoring service.

4.4 Third parties' information

Do not place into this Vanti the personal information of students, children or other individuals. See section 4.2 of the Terms of Use.

5. Exclusion of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Recherche et développement laplanete assumes no liability for, among other things:

  1. an error in teaching, correction, translation or assessment;
  2. an exam failure, a grade, an admission refusal, a visa refusal or any academic or administrative consequence;
  3. an academic or disciplinary sanction resulting from your use;
  4. a misunderstanding, offence or harm arising from a phrasing, a politeness register or an inaccurate cultural suggestion;
  5. the use of an uncertified translation for an official purpose;
  6. the loss of the learning dossier, progression or history (beta version, no backup guarantee);
  7. an interruption of the Service or removal of the Vanti from the catalog.

No guarantee of results. No progress, level attained, exam success or learning timeline is guaranteed or promised.

The limitation of liability and the cap in section 13 of the Terms of Use apply.

Mandatory limits. The foregoing does not apply to bodily or moral injury, nor to injury caused by intentional or gross fault (art. 1474 CCQ), nor to the extent prohibited by section 10 of the Consumer Protection Act.

6. Learning dossier

Your dossier (level, history, recurring errors, goals) lives in the isolated data volume of your workspace. It is shared among the members of the same family workspace, may be lost, and is destroyed with the workspace. See the Data policy.

7. Acceptance

By using the Language Teacher Vanti, you acknowledge that it is a fallible software tool, that it grants no recognized certification, that its translations are not official, and that you remain responsible for academic integrity and copyright compliance.
